Please consider helping a friend of mine. Mike is a paramedic who has dedicated his life and career to helping people when they needed it most. He served as a flight medic at Life Flight for decades, worked as a 911 medic, and most recently worked at St Vincent in the ED.
He recently married the love of his life. She became ill, sought treatment, and was initially diagnosed with Covid-19. However, further testing showed esophageal and stomach cancer. Radiation and chemotherapies were not successful. She was scheduled to undergo resection of her esophagus and stomach at the University of Michigan yesterday, however once inside, the doctors discovered the cancer had aggressively spread elsewhere. It is now inoperable.
During this crisis, Mike also got laid off from Mercy due to staff reductions.
