A Christian friend recently shared with me this article and the accompanying video:
Watch the video if you dare. It is abhorrent, purely demonic, and continues to push an agenda: satan good, family bad, traditional values out the window. And people in today’s society are eating it up. The “satan shoes” complete with a drop of human blood and the music video are the latest pieces of evidence of an overly decadent, anything-goes world that has fallen further into the pit than perhaps any other time in history. This filth is being pumped out to the masses via every digital means possible and it is being consumed at an alarming rate by children and by those whose moral compass has never been formed, let alone set on anything purer than the likes of Lil Nas X. This sort of moral decay has been built into and driven by the programming set decades ago. Can you see it? Can you sense it? Anyone over the age of forty or so can. Growing up, our days were filled with friends, riding bikes, playing baseball, learning how to add and subtract without drawing ladders and puppies to do it. Today, our children are holed up in their rooms, logging on and finding more comfort and direction from the likes of Lil Nas than their father, from Tik Tok more than their mother, and from YouTube more than their preacher.
To say that today’s culture is disconnected from God may be the understatement of the generation. Google has replaced the Holy Spirit. Needing comfort and answers about life, we ask Google or Alexa. Why should I ask God for guidance when Google has me covered, instantly? 3.2 million results in 0.000002 seconds. Instant gratification mixed with a maligned spiritual center is as destructive as mixing booze and cocaine. Over time, our reliance on the Most High becomes less and less as Lil Nas and Google become the parents and the leaders we look to.
Certainly, this type of “entertainment” leads to further decay of our character as we embrace the anything-goes mentality and disengage from reality. But what happens to a country when we turn from God? Think we are on the right track today? What happens when the democratic party removes all mention of God from their platform, only to put Him back in after they found out it would look bad politically? Proverbs 29: 18 sums it up: “Without guidance from God, law and order disappear, but God blesses everyone who obeys His law”. As a believer in the New Covenant, I know that without accepting Christ as our Savior and ultimate advocate to the Father, we are lost. We (and the country) are as lost like a ship in a storm without a lighthouse. We will fall for anything, believe anything that is thrown down our throats from the likes of Lil Nas X and Google. Maybe even Dr. Fauci.
Fauci has become the political mouthpiece of the healthcare system as it pertains to covid-19. He has changed his mind and his edicts more than I have changed my socks, yet we all cling to his words and accept it as gospel. Remember when masks weren’t necessary, but then they were mandatory? Six feet has been the arbitrary number that keeps us safe, yet you can board a plane and sit shoulder-to-shoulder with a stranger for hours, knowing full well that a snot droplet sneezed from an infected person can travel at 100mph for as far as 27 feet (National Geographic). And now, the vaccine is the savior of our world and if taken, it will purchase back your freedom from the bizarre and nonsensical government mandates. Millions of well-intentioned people are rushing out to get the vaccine not knowing what it does, what’s in it, or what it will do to them, just to post a picture of themselves on social media to quell the need to feel cool and ultimately virtue signal that they are more woke than those who wish to abstain.
I propose that the new (read: millennia-old) wokeness is a love of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross. He is the vaccine we should all be seeking. Fervently. The vaccine of Christ is without side effects, rife with benefits, is effective against the mutations of the devil, and has been proven effective generation after generation. Belief in His vaccine will lead to eternal life while the covid vaccine can’t add a day to it. I get it though, people in this world probably don’t think God is cool. I mean how can God compete with a rapper who is wearing shoes with human blood in them while he gyrates on and licks satan? (yeah, that's in the video) Get real people. This world is fallen, evil, and sick. It needs a vaccine, but I guarantee you it’s not Pfizer or Moderna. It is Jesus Christ who can crush the evil around us and our children every second of every day. It is Jesus who can put down the Lil Nas X’s and their demonic behaviors. Clinging to Jesus in this world vaccinates your heart and mind from all the garbage the devil will force on you.
Why be a follower of the world? Why not try something different, albeit “uncool”. Be woke in a good way that will change your life for the better and the lives of your children. As a Christian, I am living in this world for a time, but I am not of this world. In Romans, it says do not be conformed of this world but be transformed by the renewal of your mind… (Romans 12:2). So, get woke to God. The social justice, virtue-signaling garbage of this world is as fake as Lil Nas. It will leave you feeling dirty and empty. Only God, through His Son, Jesus can save you and purify your minds and souls and make you a leader among men. That’s cool enough for me.
