Evan's labs were nearly perfect on Monday. So he could proceed with his LP and start of "maintenance".
Yesterday, he had a lumbar puncture and IT methotrexate. Then went to the clinic for IV vincristine. He tolerated all this very well. Jess said it was the best he has done so far!
He also started two different oral chemotherapy agents and steroids yesterday. Yet, he wanted to play yesterday and was feeling great.
It is truly amazing to see how well he is doing despite all the harsh chemicals in his body. This, my friends, is the true hand of God protecting Evan every step of the way.
We ask for your continued prayers for our little guy. We appreciate every single one of them. As you pray for Evan, please pray for all the other children who are not doing as well. Evan met a much older "kid" in the infusion clinic over the last several months. "Josh" and Evan took a shine to each other and they end up talking about four wheelers and other manly things. Josh took a turn for the worse and has been in the ICU. His cancer is a little different than Evan's and his road is a lot tougher. Please lift Josh and his family in your prayers. God has the answers, He has the power to heal, He is the best doctor around.
Thank you.
Continued prayers for Evan and now Josh and his family.
